Author’s Note: Electric Jet Revisited
Just a brief update on the state of ChoCho’s Electric Jet Project and its relation to the blur of fact and fiction:
I went to see Iron Man 2 recently, and there is a reference to an electric jet engine. Apparently it is Elon Musk of Tesla Motors who has the line. I thought this was awesome enough to interrupt our usual story, if only to say this is way too cool for words. I was so shocked when watching the movie that I had to go online to confirm it, and found autobloggreen showing the same reference.
As I have been known to dabble in this, and am currently working on designs for a stripped down version of the electric jet in ChoCho’s Notes, one that can be made on the shoestring budget of a writer, needless to say I am quite excited. (Of course I am working on a scale model, and still trying to get the parts together for the prototype. My porch is only four by fifteen feet, after all, so the jet engine I want to work with would be impossible to house. That and the neighbors have a cat. This is important because cats and jet engines, generally, are not good friends.)

HELLO! Saying that cats and jet engines are not good friends is an understatement of such grand proportions, I can only sit back and LMAO. Felines and moving objects just don’t mix, be they strings, rocking chairs or engines of any type, the result is pain for all concerned. TIP: Never drag a string across your bare leg. The cat will generously remind you why not.
